Thinning Out Plants and New Angels

Cookie Till came by early this afternoon with yet another angela flat of tyme for our walkway and whole bucket-load of added possibilities!  WOW! Brian DeRias put added a whole new layer onto this project. We are truly being blessed with the generosity and abundance that comes from true partnership and cooperation.  Thanks Brian for opening your arms and heart to this project.

Then, it was Joan and Earle to load up the vans and we're off to meet Amy at the ACUA greenhouse so we could thin out seedlings:

After a hard days work separating and repotting our precious seedlings...

It was time to clean up.  Ahhh the wonders of dirt!

Now for a group photo!!
(Hey, Omar, Joneika and Earle...  this way! And what happened to Malik?)

And now for:  Thinning Out Seedlings...  The Movie

Did I say it poured all day. Great day for inside work.

We Picked Up the Slate

Last Saturday (April 9th) we took a small team Stup to Sicklerville to pick up slate to create a walkway or garden path. It was just the right project for a damp drizzly day.  Tomorrow's task...  thin out the plants.  It will be quite a treat to see how they have grown since we planted them a couple of weeks ago.

Building and Seeding

On Saturday, April 2nd, we all gathered in St. Mary's parking lot to build boxes, clean up the yard and fill the boxes with some great
ECO Soil compliments of the ACUA.  It proved to be a rather cold, windy and raw morning.  The sun was bright, the company great and the tasks may lighter by many hands--and a front end loader thanks to the two Harold Hills.  And we'll never forget those wonderful muffins provided by Cookie.

After building, we headed to the green house for planting seeds.  A much warmer environment, and we could continue to get our hands dirty.  We were also able to enjoy the company of some friends who weren't able to weather the wind and cold.  We learned a lot.

Our seeds are off to a good start!
